We formulate with vegan and naturally derived Nordic ingredients combined with expert skincare science. At LUMENE, we specialize in harnessing ingredients from wild berries and other Nordic plants in our formulas.  

Many of our ingredients come from Nordic nature — upcycled from sidestreams of our local Nordic forestry and food industries. These Nordic ingredients feature throughout our formulas, and we always have several new ones in R&D phase. 

Sustainability has long been an important value for LUMENE. It started 20 years ago, when we introduced our first upcycled ingredient: cloudberry seed oil, sourced as a side stream from the food industry. Since then, we have continued to apply circular economy principles in how we develop our products, including the use of upcycled ingredients sourced from industrial sidestreams. 

Today, many of our skincare ingredients are upcycled from the side streams of our local Nordic forestry and food industries.
