Certified B Corp

LUMENE is officially a Certified B Corporation™ (B Corp) — recognition of our commitment to a more sustainable, equitable future. The B Corp trust mark reflects our dedication to accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement. 

LUMENE was certified in 2024 and has since been recertified under the new, more demanding V2 standards. The new B Lab Standards replace the previous points-based assessment with mandatory minimum requirements across seven impact topics covering areas such as governance, employee wellbeing, environmental impact, and community engagement verified by an independent third party.  

For us, this achievement reflects a journey spanning more than two decades — from launching our first upcycled ingredient to standing among the very few companies worldwide to meet B Corp's highest bar yet. 

To date, the B Corp community is made up of more than 10,000 companies in over 100 countries, across more than 160 industries. LUMENE is leading the way, joining small group of Certified B Corporations in the country.  

We also contribute to the B Lab™ Nordics, a network where Nordic B Corps share ideas and support each other.
